Tiger is determined to snuggle with Tibby. Tib was asleep by my leg while I was on the couch last night, and Tiger comes creeping up slowly. He lays on the other side of my leg. He drapes himself over the leg. He puts a paw very gently on Tibby's back. He squirms a little closer. Leg gets a cramp, so it goes away. Tiger does a biiiiiiiig stretch and lets himself slide towards Tib. Another small squirm. Their heads touch! Tiger is so happy! He snuggles closer and does a big happy stretch! Tibby wakes up, sees Tiger is RIGHT AT HIS FACE. Hisses in surprise. Tiger is startled and rolls right off the couch.
The rest of the night was full of mousie shenanigans. Santa mousie is definitely the favorite. I would see it fly across the room, then see Tiger running with his mouth wide open to wherever he threw it. While I was cooking dinner, he latched onto the hem of my skirt and just let me drag him all over the kitchen.
M said that he is coming home a day early because it turns out they only booked the AirBnB through Friday. He is having a miserable time being around his family, and is eager to be home. I will miss having the bed all to myself (and to not have his snoring waking me up!), but it will be nice to have him home.
Tomorrow is my super Friday, and I am so excited. The jail has suddenly started gearing up for our yearly inspection, with all sorts of new projects being handed down in order to get ready, and I'm not going to be here for all that mess, so haha!
My order from the School of Historical Dress finally arrived yesterday! The mail carrier left it on a neighbor's doorstep, and she knocked on my door last night to give it to me. Thank goodness! I haven't had a chance to really dig into it yet, but the new PoF1 looks amazing so far, with a ton of detailed color photos of all the garments that were patterned originally. The patterns are also upgraded, which is nice, and they had a page at the back with photos of costumers that had used the patterns for recreations. It was fun to see some people I know in there!
