Carolina Update

Verdict from the vet was that Carolina indeed has a broken tooth, a few more rotten ones in the back. She's on a course of antibiotics and anti-imflammatories, then they will take another look at her and see if she needs another round, or if we can move forward. Since we took her in after her previous owners abandoned her, we don't have any vaccination records for her, so she'll need to get all of those again before they can operate, so those happen first, we give them a week to get through her system, then we pull teeth. Poor lady is going to have a rough couple of weeks ahead.

According to his shelter records, my little guy had twelve teeth extracted there because his mouth was such a mess. He's fine now and it does not appear to have slowed him down in the least.

Hope Carolina is on the mend quickly.

Aw, poor kitty! I hope the drugs help, and I assume she'll be getting soft food for a week or two to reduce the strain?

Yes, definitely. She can only take a few bites at a time, so we got her a high-calorie soft food from the vet so she at least gets a bit more bang for each bite.
