Jul. 31st, 2023 08:47 amSaturday was a busy day full of cleaning. I started by finally folding all the clean towels and putting them away, then I started on ironing my clothes. It was exhausting and I could only do so much, but I ironed enough dresses to get through the week, and next weekend I'll iron another batch. I put away the clean dishes and had M wash the ones that were in the sink. He then went around the house and emptied all the trash. I cleaned off the sewing table so I could get back to project stuff again. So, hooray! We did stuff!
M went out that afternoon, and I fully intended to do some sewing while I had the house, but Tibby decided that the bed of fluffy fabric I had just put on the couch was just a great cat bed, and no sewing was done.
Sometime that evening, I heard a crash and a bit of metal falling to the ground. Looks like someone broke out our neighbor's window. This neighbor is either the same one, or directly next to, one that has a sign in their window that says "(new management company) we will not pay you!" I peeked out the window and saw a group of teenagers out by the broken window, looking at it with their cellphone flashlights.
No sewing was done on Sunday, either. Not because of cat shenanigans, but because I was feeling a bit blah and just didn't feel like it. M went out shooting with one of his friends, so it was a quiet day of couch and cats, who were incredibly clingy and wouldn't let me rest without having at least three of them vying for position on my lap. I eventually got tired of their nonsense and feeling very Sat Upon by so many heavy cats, so I retreated to the bedroom and watched TV in there instead.
Got an alert on my phone that there was a possible active shooter situation at the mall a couple of blocks from the apartment. Turned out to be a false alarm, and the "shots" that people reported hearing were probably doors slamming from people running out the doors in a panic.
M came home around 8, we watched an hour of TV together, and then it was bedtime.
Should be getting the amnio results sometime today. Fingers crossed.
