m_of_disguiseResized the 1906 corset pattern again, while I was at work yesterday, taking 2 inches from the bust and waist, and taking 2 inches off everything for the lacing gap. I really hope these are the last adjustments that I need, because I'm tired of looking at it! Actual mockups and whatnot will have to wait until after the Natural Form project at this point, because that has a hard deadline.
Did not finish the crinoline last night because I ran out of the bias tape I was using for facing. -_- I'm so close! I could have used some fabric scraps, but I want it all to match inside. I have a few more edges to finish off, boning to add, and the waistband, and it will be done. This hoop has taken way longer than I anticipated, and I'm definitely worried about getting the gown done in time. It's not a huge deal if I don't, since I have the lingerie dress as backup, but I really want something new!
But honestly, if I just end up with a new set of undies that are ready to build future dresses onto, then I'll be happy with that.
An apartment complex a mile down the road burned down last night. Mackenzie saw the smoke when he was driving home last night and called to make sure everything was alright. It wasn't near enough to us to cause us a problem, thankfully.
