Morning was not fun. Tookie (our senior cat) peed in front of the litter box instead of in it, so I had a major cleanup job almost immediately when I woke up. -_- Thankfully (I guess) the cats toss so much damned litter between the boxes that it created a sort of dam so it couldn't spread all over the closet. Then I discovered that she had also thrown up in the living room, so that was cleanup #2.

Totally exhausted, I have hauled myself to work, where I am now eating vending machine poptarts and waiting for the weekend to start.

I'm hoping to tackle the mending pile a bit this weekend so I can get that off my plate. The house also desperately needs to be vacuumed, there are too many kitty hair tumbleweeds hiding in corners that need to be eliminated. The entire house just needs a spruce, so I'm going to try and tidy as much as I can during the first half of tomorrow before my energy runs out.

Did a grocery run yesterday, just a few regular items like lunch meat, salad fixings, toilet paper, etc, and somehow it all ended up costing $80. Augh. Prices have definitely gone up again. M was so shocked that a 24-pack of soda costs $13 that he looked up the reason, and apparently there's an aluminum shortage because of corporate hoarding. Joy.

The aluminum shortage was the cause for the tinned pet food shortage during lockdown, too.
