Nov. 5th, 2020 08:56 amFiddled a bit with my Youtube release schedule yesterday, and I think I have the rest of the year pretty much hammered out. I keep wanting to add more in, but I need to remember to give myself time to actually sew things and, you know, edit. I'm cutting back to a bi-weekly schedule so I can take more time for each project and make more polished videos. I've been rushing through things lately, and I can tell that my video quality has gone down.
DJI just released (this morning!) their new Mavic Mini 2 drone, and I think I'm going to buy it as a Christmas present to myself. It seems like the problems with the first Mini have been ironed out, so I'm glad I waited. I have video planned for next spring that I need a drone for, so this seems like a good time to buy, though I'm tempted to wait and see if they have a Black Friday deal.
I also found a historical house museum near-ish (about a 2-hour drive) that I want to film some future stuff at. They have a super reasonable photography policy, too, and you can even rent the entire place for the entire day for $275 if you want. It was built in 1859, which makes it old for Texas, and would be perfect for my upcoming 1850s videos and some photoshoots. It's an exciting find!
I also discovered that there is a Victorian "Pompeiian Villa" in Port Arthur, which looks totally awesome. I do wish it wasn't so far away, because I'd love to visit and take photos, but it's nearly a 6 hour drive. -_- Sometimes it's annoying how big this state is.
