Nov. 23rd, 2020 08:53 amHad a glorious solo weekend!
I started with a trip to Sam's, which was a new adventure. I'd found a 50% off membership on Groupon, and M is always talking about buying in bulk, so I snagged it and redeemed it after work on Friday. I didn't have time then to shop, so I made the trip Saturday morning and BOY that was a bad idea. The place was completely packed, shoulder to shoulder people doing last minute Thanksgiving shopping. It was awful. I was so overwhelmed that I could barely remember what I needed to buy.
They were totally out of toilet paper and paper towels, which was what I went there for, but I did pick up 40 lbs of cat litter and 25 lbs of catfood, new mixing bowls, and some pasta. The dude I asked about paper products told me they get a truck on Tuesdays, so I'll have to go back tomorrow.
I spent the rest of the day on the couch. I barely looked up from my phone all day, and when I did it was just to cook a box of mac-n-cheese and to turn on the TV. I felt totally exhausted. I guess I needed the day to recharge.
Sunday was productive, as I finally finished the pumpkin dress video. It's now stewing in the computer, and I'll give it a final watch tonight to check for any issues before I upload it. (I used to do this with research papers, too - leave it sitting for a day or two, then go back and re-read it to make sure it still made sense. It's saved my butt a few times.)
I did discover that my laptop hard drive is nearly full. I have less than 1GB of storage left, so I'm going to have to invest in an external drive ASAP.
I cleaned a good bit of the apartment, too. The kitchen is finally back in order, and I moved my large planters from the living room to the balcony since the plants in them are dead. I'm slowly making my way through the living room. I'm hoping to have it all squared away by the end of the week. There's a ton of laundry to do, and dust everywhere, and piles of random stuff that needs culling.
