Dec. 6th, 2021 08:41 amTiger passed his vet check, no FIV or feline leukemia, so he's free to mingle with the other cats. They gave him a magical flee pill that killed every flee on his body in 30 minutes, and some de-worming stuff that went on his head like a flee spot treatment. Everyone gushed over him because he's a love bug, and he crawled into the scale and laid down when they wanted to weigh him. He was a very good boy. However, he is not scheduled for a snip with them, because they quoted me nearly $500, which is completely insane. He doesn't need an electromagnetic therapy envelope after his snip, thank you.
After the vet appointment, I met with my sister to help her pick out Christmas decorations. We hit At Home because it had been well-stocked when I was there some weeks ago, but didn't find any of the kind of stuff she was looking for. We gave up and went to lunch, and ate a bunch of souffle. Then I felt so awful from all the cheese (it was a cauliflower and brie souffle, and we had a cheese board for an appetizer) that we called it a day.
I felt pretty awful for the rest of the day and developed a roaring headache, so I was in bed and asleep by 8 and didn't wake up for 13 hours. I feel like this was a week of short nights catching up to me.
Spent some time on Sunday introducing Tiger to the house. I let him roam around and sniff while I walked with him, swooping in whenever one of the other cats got a bit feisty about the new whippersnapper in their space. Tibby has been the most curious one so far. He has sniffed at Tiger several times, and has been the only one to actually approach for a sniff, but he is Very Large and Tiger was definitely intimidated. It's going to be a while before everyone's okay together in the same room. For now, Tiger lives in the bedroom and bathroom, and he hung out in the computer room with M while he was in there yesterday.
Picked up a few containers at Dollar Tree to try and organize the kitchen a bit, and definitely need more. I initially just bought two large and two small, completely forgetting how much random stuff needs a home. I might pick up some more tonight.
Today is one of those days where I'm just angry about being at work. I wish I had the savings to take a year off and focus on YouTube, but I don't. So I'm stuck here listening to inmates scream at each other. ~sigh~ Vacation can't come soon enough.
