The cafeteria at work provided no food for us yesterday, so I had no lunch and was mightily grumpy by the time I got home. Then M requested chicken stew, which takes me hours to make, so I ate a handful of string cheese sticks and some granola bars and made a pot of stew. Dinner ended up being at 9pm. -_-

Because the stew took so long, I didn't get any sewing prep done. I had planned to dig out the 1906 corset and start on the flossing, or put together the Sophie pattern pages so I could start sizing it up, but neither of those things happened. Ah, well.

We have plenty of stew left over for tonight's dinner, so I'll probably take a stab at finally, after a year of faffing about, finishing the 1906 corset.

Found the perfect burnt orange wool for the 1899 suit at a great price, only to discover it was sold out when I tried to add it to cart. Womp womp. Now the only wools I'm finding are $25+/yd, so the search continues. If nothing turns up by tomorrow, then I'll hit the Dallas warehouses on Saturday with a swatch of the velvet and see what I can find.

Just had someone leave a comment on a decade old blog entry asking if I had a pattern for the dress mentioned. Oh honey. No.

Carolina got into some absolute shenanigans last night. She must have managed to damage the catnip filled carrot plushie that she likes to play with, because some of the catnip escaped and YEAH CATNIP ON THE FLOOR. She was wallowing around in and defending the leaf pile, jumping off the walls, chewing on the corners, she had the crazy eyes! After about 10 minutes of total derangement, she crawled onto the couch and passed out completely.
