Mar. 16th, 2023 08:32 amMade quiet possibly the best beef stew to date last night. The beef was tender and just right, the seasonings were balanced, none of the veggies were mushy, it was perfect.
After dinner, we rounded up all our clothes and towels, and M finally did the laundry run I've been asking him to do for the past week. He got home super late, I was already well asleep when he came back, but when I woke up for work I found that the clean laundry was still warm, so I hung up all my dresses hoping that would mitigate wrinkling. I still have an ironing pile to eventually deal with, but hopefully I won't have to add anything new to it.
The new dresses I ordered arrived last night, hooray! I have two more warm-ish dresses and a a few new Spring dresses. I think this is the most clothes I have ever owned, and it's so damned nice to have a selection to choose from instead of just having three pieces I have to mix and match because everything in the brick and mortar stores sucks.
Found out there's a farmer's market not too far from home! It looks a little bougie, but I'm going to try and check it out this weekend.
Looked back at my sewing posts and saw that I have finished four garments since the beginning of the year. That means I'm actually on track for making one garment per month, which I was sort of aiming for at the beginning of the year. So, hooray! Made me feel better about how stalled out the 1899 suit has been these past couple of weeks.
