May. 1st, 2023 09:51 amAttempted to be productive over the weekend. I managed to put the taffeta yardage I bought in Dallas last time onto a roll. Aaaand that's about it. I get so lightheaded and woozy I can hardly do anything anymore. Pregnancy is stupid.
One of M's friends got a shiny new job and is celebrating with a shiny new car. They didn't want to bother with the hassle of privately selling their old one, so they were going to take it to Carmax, which is offering them $2200. M and I talked it over, and we're going to offer them a few hundred more than what Carmax is offering, and get ourselves a second car. It's a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 125k miles and no major problems, which is great. M will have to fly up to Chicago to get the car and then drive it back, but that's fine. Hooray second car!
One of the Dickens group decided to take on the rental of the house, so I have officially got that off my hands. I'm still bummed that I won't get to go, but eh, it is what it is.
Since I mainly live on the couch these days, I'm going to try and make myself a couple of comfy wrappers. I think I can manage some hand-sewing while I'm sitting with the cats, and wrappers are uncomplicated. I have a couple of decent hours in the mornings where I can get the fabric cut out, so it should all be doable.
