May. 24th, 2023 08:35 amThe weather was lovely and my hips were fairly quiet yesterday, so upon spotting an absolutely massive cockroach in the dining room, I opted instead to walk the three blocks to Jimmy John's and have a sandwich. Hooray for walking!
Probably won't be able to do the same today since it's raining. Boo.
Dinner last night was bagel bites. Very fancy. M is swamped at work and hasn't been able to get away from projects until well after 8 most nights, and I still can't stand the smell of food cooking, so neither of us have been making dinner lately. Not sure how we're going to end up navigating around this, since M has been complaining a lot lately about eating out so much. So, neither of us can cook, but eating out is also a no? Hmmm...might need to pick up some frozen meals to pop in the oven at night.
M's family get together is set for June, and he purchased his plane ticket last night, so it's all set from our end. He'll spend a week in Iowa, and he actually extended the trip by an extra day because his nephew is so excited to see him, which was nice because M really doesn't like spending a lot of time with his family.
I'm looking forward to the week by myself because it means I can pick up whatever I want to eat without having the endless nightly debates about what to get that we're currently having!
