(no subject)

Made it home in time to see M for a little while last night before he left, though we didn't get to spend much of that time together. He had some last-minute work dropped on his desk that he was rushing to finish, and then it was a flurry of last minute Man Packing Duffel Bag, and then off he went. He is now safely in Iowa.

I ordered Indian food and did nothing else. I ruined Tiger's night by killing a bug he was chasing. He kept pushing his nose up under the shoe I used to squash it and then looking at me all forlorn.

Put in a pickup order for the corded petticoat stuff I needed from Joann's, so that's good and taken care of. I'll swing by Home Depot for the rope/cording I need on the way home, and maybe get a batch of tacos.

There's a bit of cleaning I need to do before I can dive into the petticoat shenanigans, since M didn't have time to finish the dishes before he left and I can't just let them sit there for the next week. The house also needs a good vacuum and a tidying. Then, petticoats!

The last bust gusset is finished! I'll give it a good press tonight when I get home, and it will be ready for the next phase of this corset.

Still have to do the mockup to make sure the waist hits in the right spot, and then I can move on to final assembly. I am tempted to do it all this weekend since I'm on a roll with it. I could probably finish the 1872 corset and still make the corded petticoat, but not the grosgrain petticoat, or vise versa. I'd be happy either way. And since M is still out of town next week, I'd have some after-work time to work on whichever thing doesn't happen this weekend.
