Jul. 11th, 2023 08:34 amMade cajun chicken pasta for dinner. I've actually been wanting this dish for weeks but didn't have the energy to make it. Came out perfect. Scarfed down a giant bowl. Promptly threw up. ~sigh~ One thing about having an invader in your belly, you can't overeat because bad things happen.
Completely unsolicited, one of M's coworkers gave him a pep talk about money and reassured him that everything was okay, and that seemed to do the trick, as he hasn't been stressed about money since. He even started talking about house hunting!
Slept too long on the serger I was planning to buy, and now it's gone. There are two others around the same price point - one near Houston and one in Arkansas. They are exactly the same drive time away - 4hrs, 39min. Do I really want to go on an 10-hour round trip drive to pick up a serger? Ugh, not really. Do I really need a new serger? Yes. I'm going to hunt around on eBay before I commit to that insane drive time, though.
The Francaise Dinner just announced that they're skipping 2023 and restarting in 2024 at a new venue. I'm sort of relieved, because I had really wanted to go this year and was pretty bummed I was going to miss it. (It was originally postponed from April to October before being canceled for this year.) There's still not guarantee that I'll be able to go next year, but at least now there's the possibility since I won't be 8 months pregnant.
