Stopped at Walmart on the way home per M's request to pick up a plastic bin for him to store all the car stuff that he keeps in the trunk. Since I was already there, I picked up a few kitchen items that we've been needing, some frozen dinners, a tub of ice cream, and a black & gray stripey dress. Walking around that infernal place with my hips in the state they are was not a good idea, and I was immobile the rest of the evening.

Once I got home, M took the car and cleaned up the back, organized all the car stuff, and cleaned out the cabin. Hooray! He left a bunch of stuff on the back seat that he didn't know what to do with, mostly my items that I leave in there in case I need them, so for all intents and purposes we now have a mostly clean car. I need to take a few things to storage and bring a few things inside (like the antique parasol frame that has been living in the backseat for umpty months waiting to become a project.)

Since M was out, I didn't bother making any dinner, and just had a couple of bagels before turning in for the night. M got home just as I was getting ready for bed, and he then kept me up for another hour talking about gumbo. He not only loves making gumbo, but loves reading about the history of it, researching regional variations, he is just a gumbo connoisseur at this point.

Was going through my camera roll looking for something yesterday, and was surprised by the amount of actual sewing I was doing at the beginning of the year - Victorian petticoats, Elizabethan bodies and petticoats, chemises, corsets, dresses. I was really on a roll! I've been thinking that I'd been mostly idle this year when it came to sewing, especially seeing my FB friends churning out new projects at lightning speed, but I actually did quite a lot before this pregnancy took me down.

I think the solution may be some hand-sewing projects. I can sew trim onto the 1899 suit by hand while I'm on the couch at night. I can embroidery a coif or hand-sew a chemise. I can work on stuff that I already did the fitting for pre-pregnancy, like the Elizabethan bodies. I can work on stuff without exhausting myself. I just have to...you know...do it.
