Sep. 8th, 2023 08:46 amWell, finally some good news. The dental insurance did indeed fuck up (honestly, screw Delta Dental, they are garbage and this is the third time they've done this to us) and they have now sent a check to the dentist's office to cover the crown. So, we don't owe anything out of pocket.
The fire from yesterday was contained to the one building. I talked to the guy from that unit, and they already have him in another unit and he's working on moving his stuff, which I'm glad for. Damage seemed to be pretty minimal, and he said it was mostly contained to the wall where the wires caught fire.
The local SCA's baronial college is later this month, and I'm thinking of going. The populace meeting is the following Monday, which I'll also probably pop in to. I'm getting itchy to make Elizabethan things again, which is NOT GREAT because I have so many other, more pending projects to finish first. I may pattern out a quick coif this weekend so I can embroidery it during slow times at work. Hopefully that will satisfy this hankering.
Will attempt to make the wrapper again this weekend. I need to pick up lining for the yoke section, which I totally forgot about needing, and some lace trim because I don't want to dig through the storage unit for my box of lace.
