I was browsing my saved list on AbeBooks and clearing out the ones that weren't available anymore, and suddenly got a little worried that one of the saves I was planning to buy with my tax refund would vanish before the money dropped, so I bought it. It's a German-language book published by the Bavarian National Museum on their Renaissance and Baroque textiles and clothing. Here is another used copy for anyone interested. It's another one I've been eyeballing for a long time, so I'm excited to get it. Johannes Pietsch is one of the contributors, and I'm a big fan of his.
Queen Elizabeth's Wardrobe Unlock'd, for some reason, went from the local distribution center that's about 20 minutes away, to Kentucky, and then back to Texas. Tracking says it will be delivered tonight, but I'll believe it when I see it.
M and Kate are on a grand adventure today, as he is taking the baby to work with him. It's one of their rare in-office days, which never end up being work days and are always just meet-and-greets, and his boss requested he bring the baby to meet everyone. I gave her a bath last night and this morning we put her in a little pink dress with popsicles on it, and she looks very cute, very baby.
