May. 15th, 2024 09:13 amThe apartment maintenance guy didn't end up coming into our unit, after all. M ran into him while he was out taking the trash and the guy was like, "Did you notice a leak? You would have noticed if had gotten to your apartment." M said no, so the guy said we were good. Apparently the dishwasher upstairs was what leaked.
There was Teh Dramorz in one of my historical dance FB groups about the Prior Attire ball. Someone came on there and claimed that they sent "some gentle suggestions" about the event to the organizer because this person...didn't feel welcomed enough, I guess? She said there was some mishap with the guest list, and that when she emailed for info about hotels she never got a response. (I don't think it's the organizer's job to find you a hotel if there's not one reserved by the organizer specifically for the event, but I guess this person thought otherwise.) She also said that the organizer then refunded the money she'd put down for next year's event and blocked her. She hadn't provided any receipts for any of what she was alleging by the time I got to work, but if you got blocked for sending some suggestions, I'm guessing they were not as gentle as you claimed.
I didn't see what happened on that post while I was at work, but when I got home the post was gone and was replaced with a "I deleted my previous post because I got death threats!" declaration. A few people called bullshit, and now that post is gone, as well. Yeesh.
The Spanish books arrived! Much earlier than anticipated! And they are, indeed, in English! Hooray! I can't wait to dive into them.
Saw my first Cybertruck IRL, and it looks just as dumb in person as it does online. Can't believe someone would pay $100k for a Lego piece that can't survive a car wash.
Found a useful new site - supercook.com. You put in all the ingredients you have on hand, and it tells you all the recipes you can make with those ingredients. There are a lot of duplicate recipes (they've got a million different variations of lasagna, like most recipes sites), but it's a good way to see all your options.
