Jan. 16th, 2025 09:00 amIrritating morning yesterday. The baby had gotten into my purse and pulled out my work badge the night before, and I could not find it again when I was getting ready to leave. I tore the house apart, but no dice. I got to work late and annoyed, but admin was able to print me off a new badge without any problems. Not a big deal in the end, but supremely annoying in the moment.
Felt progressively more depressed over the course of the day. When I got home M offered to go pick up dinner so I wouldn't have to do anything, so we had fried chicken for dinner, which was excellent. The baby was in a fine mood during the evening and went to bed early without any hassle. M went out for a while, so I actually had some quiet time to myself, which I really needed. I got in a shower and then crawled into bed early.
Finally managed to get the blog post up for the 1850s ruffle monster dress.
Joann's has filed for bankruptcy again, and this time it looks like they're toast. They are looking for a buyer, but the only one being talked about right now is the circling vulture that recently axed Big Lots, so if they buy then Joann's will probably also be liquidated. So this weekend I'm going to try and spend the remainder of my Christmas gift card. I need a plain black satin to match the embroidered satin of the current ballgown project, and that will honestly probably knock out the last $60 or so that's on there.
