Feb. 14th, 2025 09:07 amGot the official word that M did not receive the job that he interviewed for. We suspect it is because he asked for more money than the other guy, because M was wanting worthwhile compensation for giving up remote and having to moving to Dallas. He seemed very relieved; I think that he would have felt like he let the family down if he had been offered it and turned it down, or that he would have felt obligated to take the job even though it's not what he really wants. Now he doesn't have it hanging over his head anymore.
Well, we went from nearly 90 degrees over the weekend, to now having an ice/snow warning for next week. -_- February gonna February.
Made a big pot of chili last night, which ate up most of the evening. I'd forgotten how long it takes to make chili, so I didn't have time for much else after it was done. I did get the rest of the dishes washed, then I settled in for a bowl of chili and slice of cornbread. M came out to game on the big TV, and by that time it was 9:30 and I was tired enough to sleep, so I headed to bed.
Tomorrow is the big storage unit moving day. While M and Chance are doing that, I have an entire bodice to make. It's a three-day weekend, so Sunday and Monday I have to finish moving whatever they didn't manage to get to, which I have a terrible feeling will be quite a bit. They work hard, but those boys are not organized.
