Well, I thought I had found a great deal on some wool fabric, but I'm waffling over the color match. ~sigh~ I think I'm just going to have to accept that I am going to have to find something in person if I want to be 100% certain on the colors. So, to Dallas I shall go! Next weekend, though, so I can concentrate on patterning stuff out this weekend. Besides, the weather is supposed to suck tomorrow, and I don't fancy driving all the way to Dallas in the rain.

My tax documents finally arrived in the mail, and M is keen to do taxes this weekend. Ugh. Stupid adult stuff interfering with my playing dress-up.

Sewing plan for the weekend is to draft out the 1899 skirt from the Thompson's Universal System (thanks to mala_14 for linking that a while back), and to size up the Sophie pattern. Mockups for both, hopefully. Finish the 1906 corset flossing and grommets. Possible papertape form if I can finish the corset by Sunday. It's a lot for two days, so I wouldn't be surprised if I don't get it all done, but I at least need to finish the corset and get the drafting done.

I hope it works well for you! I had to reshape it on the seams to get a more mermaid-y shape, but it was a good starting point.
