m_of_disguisePut in an online Joann's order yesterday for hem facing and wonder under. When I went to pick it up, they just had the facing. -_- The order for the wonder under, for unknown reasons because it was the same damned order, was sent to Hurst, 30 miles away. Not even the Joann's on the other side of town, but one in a completely different city! If it was out of stock at the store I ordered from, why not just refund it, or send an email about it, or something other than shunting it to another store on the other side of the universe? Augh! I'm going to go on my lunch break to pick it up. Rush hour traffic in that area is too horrible to go after work, and I have to pick up groceries after work anyway. ~sigh~
Since I didn't have the supplies to work on attaching more velvet panels, I went back to the unfinished foundation skirt last night and put in the hem facing. Then I got out all the scraps of brown taffeta that I could find and tried to finagle enough strips for the ruffle. And I managed it! But I didn't assemble the ruffle because I was too tired at that point.
Slept poorly and woke up frequently, so today I'm tired and grumpy and everything is stupid and has a stupid face.
The only goal for tonight is to finish the ruffle on the foundation skirt. I'm too tired to really attempt anything else, and ruffles are easy. M said he is going to make pasta tonight, though he said that last night and then he fell asleep before I got home so I had to pick up something on the way back. Ah, well. If it's tacos for dinner again, I won't complain!
