The Curse of March

Carolina kitty had some sort of medical emergency last night. She was sleeping on my lap when she suddenly jumped down and started pawing at her mouth and twitching. We tried to get a look to see what was happening, and we think that she had an abscess that burst. We could see a rotten tooth in the back of her mouth, which is probably the culprit. She pawed at her face hard enough to scratch her chin open pretty badly, so we doctored her up as best we could. All the vets were closed, so we had to just treat her with our supply of pet wound stuff (which we had left over from another abscess that burst a few years ago, that time on her side) and wait until morning.

I'm taking the day from work so M can take her to the vet and I can watch the baby at home. Hopefully we have some good news soon.
