Been having a terrible time sleeping lately, and when I do sleep I'm having crazy dreams.

Woke up several times during the night on Tuesday, and finally gave up when I woke up at 6 and just decided to get up and do stuff. Started by vomiting profusely, which is always a fun way to start the day. -_-

Cleaned and dressed, did 20 minutes of dishes, which barely made a dent in the mountain that's accumulated, but at least it was progress. Ironed a dress for work, and made a breakfast plate for the baby. Was going to start some pulled pork in the crock pot, but discovered when I pulled the pork out of the fridge (which I'd put in several days ago to defrost) that it was still frozen solid. M had also drank all the cokes, and I needed one for the brine, so pulled pork had to wait.

Went home for lunch, but baby was already napping, so I didn't have to do anything. M and I talked about the AC and the faucet, and the heat wave, and agreed that there will be no more cooking in the evenings in order to keep the house as cool as possible. M nixed the idea of grilling out, so there will be lots of sandwiches and salads in our future.

Went by LabCorp after work to get my baseline labs done for the OB, but the internet had lied when they said they closed at 5, and they actually closed at 4:30. I arrived at 4:32, and it was dark and empty. -_- I found another location that is closer to work, so I will attempt labs again after work today.

All the entrances to Walmart were blocked off by construction, so I stopped at Target for a few groceries instead. I was astonished by the prices for their produce, they were astronomical. $1.50 for a single peach, $3.70 for a single apple. Absolutely bonkers prices. I sent M a pic of the peaches, and he said he will buy us a bushel of peaches in July when the Peach Festival rolls around and the local peaches are harvested.

Picked up some canned soups that we could microwave for dinner. I had a disappointing "Mediterranean Lentil" from Progresso, which was more chickpea than lentil. M ate a bowl of queso.

At some point, M called his dad, an actual Journeyman plumber, and asked for help with the faucet situation. He lives in New Mexico/El Paso depending on work, so he's not anywhere near us, but he walked M through shutting off our hot water heater over facetime. The leak has slowed to a stead drip now instead of a flowing stream, and there's no more steam, which is a massive relief. It had gotten so bad that it was hard to breathe when in the bathroom, and M said that this morning the floor was actually covered in puddles of water. Hopefully now the room can dry out.

Was awake at 6AM again this morning, but lounged in bed determined to rest more. Then I realized that I had to put the pulled pork together, so I got up and did that. I should have prepped last night, but I was dead tired and didn't think of it, so this morning I had to slice onions and garlic, slather the pork with brown sugar and spices, and put it in the crock pot with a can of coke and a cup of broth. Now it goes on Low for the next 10 hours.

Expected high today has been bumped to 105. I hate summer.
