"weird, jagged, pulsating, vibrating, zigzaggy blob blurring vision in one eye" sounds exactly my migraine auras. The blob moves off and then I get "watery" vision for another few mins and 20 mins later bam! Pain. Pain for days. If I take advil before the aura stops, I'm good. I am VERY glad that didn't turn into a migraine for you, that is the last thing you need right now!
