Packed up two boxes of knick-knacks last night before I ran out of tape, and managed to remove the old CD shelf from the wall. It's amazing how much space even a small bookcase can take up! I wish I could have done more, as I was this close to clearing out the last bookcase in the room, but I ran out of tape and couldn't put together any more boxes. :(

But, once that shelf is cleared out and put up, then I'll be able to make my sewing space in that corner of the room. There are still a bunch of boxes in that corner, since that's where M shoved all his stuff that he didn't want to store, but once I get my hands on some more tape, then I'll be able to clear out some space in the closet to put all those things. And we'll finally be able to put the hamper back in the closet! It's sitting in the Stuff Corner right now, and he just lets the laundry pile up and explode out of it, so maybe if it's in the closet where he can't let it run rampant, then he'll keep things tidier. XP

I took the taffeta out last night and measured what I had, and it turns out I have 11 yards and not 14. I would have felt much more comfortable with 14, but after getting some opinions from the Hive Mind, I think I can make it work with 11. And once I thought back on it, when I made my red sacque many moons ago, I think I squeaked it out of 8 or 9 yards, so I think it will be fine. (I love that dress, but it was already too small once I finished it, so there's no way I could fit into it now. Also, holy crap, I started that dress 7 years ago?!?!)

I found some 1/2" gold trim while I was browsing last night (40 cents a yard!) so I ordered 50 yards. I plan to start as soon as it comes in, which I'm hoping will be before the weekend, so I can get a jump on it while I've still got my mojo.
