Got out of work yesterday ready to go pick up my new external drive and the cajun fried steak I'd ordered from Razoo's, only to discover that I had an extremely flat tire. -_-
Since we've only been driving the Eclipse regularly for about a week, we hadn't moved the jack to the trunk yet. Not that it would have mattered anyway, because it turns out the Eclipse doesn't have a spare. I call Razoo's to amend my pickup time to an optimistic 6:00.
I called a few people for help, none of whom answered, so I finally called my sister, who lives almost an hour away.
She came to my rescue, but by the time she got there almost all the tire shops were closed, except for NTB, which we have 15 minutes to reach with the busted tire. I call them to make sure they have the tire, which they do in exchange for the sacrifice of my first born, or approximately $118. I call Razoo's again and change the time to 7.
We get to NTB and they pop the new tire onto the rim. They charge me an additional $36 for "dismounting and mounting", but will waive that fee if I apply for their credit card. NO THANKS, BUCKO. -_- Total tire cost is $154. >( I call Razoo's again. I'll definitely be there by 7:30. They close at 7:45, of all the random times. I am starved.
New tire is put onto the car. I bid my sister farewell and copious thanks. She says that I saved her from a social engagement that she was dreading, so it's all good. I get to Razoo's in time to pick up my food, and to Best Buy to pick up my external drive. A massive storm rolls in just as I get home.
At least I didn't get hit by last night's tornado.
