Got the word yesterday that the new 6-day work week schedule does not apply to civilian positions, which means I still get my weekend. I'm happy on the one hand because I still have my days off, but part of me regrets losing out on the extra money. Ah, well.
Tried to work on the hoop last night, only to have M steal my extension cord so he could charge his phone. -_- I will try and finish the project tonight so this weekend can be spent working on either the exercise outfit or the red dress.
You know those times when you lay in bed trying to get to sleep and suddenly are flooded with thoughts of all the stuff you still need to do, so just end up curled up in a little ball of anxiety instead of actually sleeping? Yeah, that was me last night.
It's under a month to the big Victorian dinner, so I need to finish the red dress, and finish my sister's green dress, and I'll likely be spending a good chunk of the last week of December prepping food for the party, so I need to sew as much as I can now so I'm not trying to do that during cooking time. I tried to pick dishes where the majority could be done ahead of time and frozen, so the day-of there's as little to do as possible.
I can get it all done if I just force myself to get better about sitting around after work and doing nothing. I have gone back to coming home after work, turning on the TV, and just vegging out. As long as I work on something after work, I should be able to get it all done.
Vacation starts the 19th. I am so, so ready.

Date: 2020-12-08 03:41 am (UTC)It's 2020. You probably need the time off to recover from life more than you need the money this year. (Or at least I do.)
only to have M steal my extension cord
Time to buy another extension cord or two?
