The news today said that Tarrant county (my county) has the most Covid cases per capita of any county in the state. Our new case rate is now higher than LA county, and we've had over 35,000 new cases in the last two weeks. We're at 99% ICU capacity and 85% total hospital capacity, with 15-30 deaths per day.

And the judge who decides what happens in Tarrant county? Thinks it's just fine because, you know, the economy.

“I’m not sure I would’ve done things much differently,” he said. “As I said earlier a lot of folks are saying we should lock everything down and they’re focused on the number of positive cases. That’s never been my focus. My focus has been on keeping the hospitals (from being overcrowded) and second keeping business open.”

The economy is going to tank if too many people die or are too sick to work, I wonder if the judge considered that?
