m_of_disguiseTibby and Tiger sniffed at each other while I held the front door slightly cracked open this morning. No growling, just a lot of WHO ARE YOU faces made at each other. Tiger is very ready to come inside, he keeps trying to sneak past me when I go back inside, and he's made a couple of bold attempts to just walk confidently into the house like he belongs there. Not yet, young man! Clean bill of health first, then indoor snuggles.
Tiger didn't show up for dinner last night, and M circled the building looking for him. He still didn't show, and M pouted a little and said "I'm emotionally invested in this cat now, he can't just not come to dinner!"
My sister and I worked out a time to go to the museum together, so that's set now for next Sunday. I need more footage, and she needs a day away from all the holiday/family shenanigans at her house (SIL and family is staying with her, and they're...a lot.)
M and his brother finally worked out the arrangements for the funeral trip, which ended up very different than first discussed. His brother's family will drive down from Iowa, pick up M, and then drive to Hobbs, NM where their dad is currently working. Then on funeral day, they will all drive together to Fort Davis, then back to Hobbs for the rest of the week to have family time together. So much driving.
I realized this morning that I will be able to eat all the foods that I enjoy but that M is allergic to/doesn't like while he's out of town, so I'm going to get in every corn, jalepeno, bean, lentil, and fish dish that I can while he's away! Taco soup is at the top of my list, and lentils with spaetzle, and shrimp and feta soup! So excited. XD
