(no subject)

M left almost as soon as I got home yesterday to take care of some tax stuff with his business partner, so I had the house to myself for the evening, which meant sewing was done! Hooray! I picked up tacos on the way home, ate fairly quickly, and then dove into working on the grosgrain petticoat.

After two and half hours of work I had managed tooooo...finish and hem the edges of one ruffle. Augh. Having to zigzag everything, trim off all the floof that is fraying off this terrible fabric, and then hem those same edges is just taking forever. I thought I'd at least get through zigzagging all the raw edges last night, but nope. I seriously considered just trashing the entire experiment because of this horrendous fabric, but there is a more stubborn part of me that is determined to make it work.

Not sure how much time I'll have tonight since I have an OB appointment, but I'm hoping I can at least knock out hemming another ruffle.
