(no subject)

Came home last night to find that the air conditioner had stopped blowing cold air. The house wasn't warm, but it wasn't cold either. M and I turned it off so it could defrost in case it was frozen over, and headed out to run some errands and get dinner. It still didn't blow cold air when we came back, so we changed out the air filter. Still nothing. Hmm.

We had enough residual cool air in the house that we could sleep with just the top sheet and be fine, and the fans did a good enough job of keeping us comfortable overnight. Maintenance request is going in as soon as the front office opens today. Apparently this is considered an emergency request because of the high outdoor temps, so hopefully they'll send someone out today. We have a string of 108 degree days in the forecast, and we can't hold on to our residual cold air forever.
