Aug. 23rd, 2023 08:42 amStopped by the storage unit yesterday, but didn't find anything that was lightweight enough for the wrapper and had sufficient yardage. Harrumph.
So, the plan now is that I'll get up early on Saturday, get my 3rd trimester blood work drawn (I have to be fasting since they'll be testing for gestational diabetes, so best to do it first thing in the morning), grab a quick breakfast somewhere, then head to Dallas and see if the fabric warehouses can't offer something up for the wrapper.
When I got home, M was finally working on the dishes! I had vowed not to touch them because he had sworn he was going to clean them, so it's been weeks. Ick. I'm hoping to keep on top of them this time and clean as things appear/are used so we don't have a mountain to clean again.
Made a quick homemade hamburger helper after he was done, which officially used up the last of the ground beef. Tonight I'll make the zuppa toscana, which will hopefully last us a couple of days, and I'm planning a breakfast casserole for the weekend, which should last us until we shop at Costco on Sunday (hopefully.)
Saw a license plate in the parking lot this morning that made me chuckle - TAKE 5TH on a Land Rover Defender. Obviously a defense attorney working at the courts next door.
Attempted to find the old study photos of the Oak Leaf dress that Cathy Hay took of the original gown umpteen years ago, but alas, they've been removed from the internet. I remember most of the construction details, which will help with the Ivy Dress (yarg, just realized I meant to pull out the fabric for that while at the storage unit yesterday but totally forgot), but it would have been nice to see the internal construction details again.
