May. 24th, 2024 08:49 amBaby's checkup went well. She is reaching all her milestones, all her goal weights and sizes, etc. She got three shots, including a Covid vaccine.
All of us were exhausted after her appointment, so we picked up some chicken on the way home and took it easy for the rest of the evening. The baby just slept in the crib, so I got to actually enjoy some alone time in the living room, which was glorious.
This morning the baby was warm and cranky, and M called just before my lunch break to tell me she was running a fever. I headed to Walgreens during my lunch break to pick up some children's motrin, dropped it off at home, grabbed a burrito bowl from Chipotle, and made it back to work without completely sweating through my clothes, which is a win because it is HOT.
We have upper 90s predicted for the weekend, with heat indexes in the lower 100s. I am not ready, someone please cause the next ice age so these summers will calm down.
