Oct. 1st, 2024 08:51 amLast night's beef roast was a success, as were the potatoes and gravy. M was in a good mood when I got home because he'd had a house full of food to graze on all day, namely pimento sandwiches and leftover tomato soup. He is the crankiest creature in existence if he doesn't eat, but he swears that being hungry doesn't affect his mood. Sure, Jan.
He has leftover roast today to make into a sandwich, and the last of the tomato soup, so he should remain in his happy, full bellied state.
I am very pleasantly surprised by all the Harris/Walz signage I'm seeing around town. My favorite has been a red and blue sign with a big orange tabby on it that says Harris/Walz underneath. There was even a pickup truck driving around downtown this morning with a giant blue Harris/Walz flag that I first mistook for a Trump sign because pickup+old white man+giant flag usually equals Trump. I was quite surprised when it unfurled in the wind and proved me wrong.
We're heading into October, and we have temps in the 90s predicted for the next 10 days. Apparently we're supposed to break some record highs this week. Thanks, I hate it. Give me Fall, dammit!
