(no subject)

Woke up at 6 yesterday, but rolled around in bed until my alarm went off 30 minutes later. Turned on the hot water for a while and set myself a timer for 30 minutes so I could get some of the dishes cleaned. I didn't manage to finish them all, but I got about half of them squared away, which did feel pretty good. 

Even though M is on vacation all week, he asked that I still come home during lunch. We sat on the couch and chatted a bit while the baby ate lunch. As I was heading back out, the baby ran at me and flung herself into my arms and gave me the biggest please-don't-leave hug ever, which was so freaking cute, I tell you what.

I actually cooked dinner last night, which took much longer than it should have, but was accomplished nonetheless. Chicken cutlets in a sundried tomato pesto cream sauce with garlic parmesan rice for a side. The rice was a miss, we both agreed that it was missing something (I think it needs mushrooms, but M doesn't care for them) , but M was very complimentary of the chicken. At least we had food.

Dinner took forever because I was battling with our internet customer service half the time. Internet was still out a full day after the storm had passed, and even though I'd received the "service restored" text message, we still didn't have signal. After talking to three different people, two of which I'm pretty sure were not actual humans, they finally just decided to send us a new router, which should arrive tomorrow. At least this all happened while M was on vacation, because otherwise he would be raging about missing work. 

Baby went to sleep without any sort of fight, which was amazing. I got in a late shower and then collapsed into bed.
