Didn't finish the petticoat this weekend because Chores. Ugh. It is about about 70%, just need to get the waistband cut out and assembled and the back seam sewn up. I always forget how long gathering and sewing on flounces takes.
The majority of the weekend was spent catching up on chores - chipping away at the ironing pile, tackling the Everest of dishes in the kitchen, cleaning the cat closet, etc. I meant to clean out the fridge and vacuum, too, but I ran out of time. Blah.
M made a big pot of spaghetti sauce last night, and we watched a 1980s Soviet-produced animated version of Treasure Island. It was amazing. They pulled animators from all over the USSR to produce it, so the art style is slightly different from one scene to the next. It's punctuated with live-action musical interludes of the voice actors dressed as pirates singing synthwave songs about how drinking/smoking/greed is bad and how you should exercise every morning. It's fantastic.
Saw a call on r/corsetry for pattern testers for a new pattern company doing historical corsetry, so I sent them an email. Hopefully I'll get picked, as their first pattern is an 1860s pattern and that would work well with what I'm working on now.
ETA: Got picked! Will have to take a few measurements at home that I don't know off the top of my head, and then I shall have a pattern!
