Now that the morning sickness seems to be subsiding and I feel okay for most of the day (evenings still suck), I've decided to try and be a bit more active since I've spent the last 5 weeks just laying on the couch or in bed. So, I walked to Salata for lunch yesterday (to have the salad I was denied before!), which is around 1.2 miles round-trip. It was warm (weather app says it was 81 degrees and 69% humidity), but I made it. It used to take me around 10 minutes to get there, but it took me about 15 this time, and I felt sluggish the whole way, so I'm glad I'm starting this up again. I may not walk to lunch every day (it's supposed to storm today, and I'm not walking anywhere once the temps are in the 90s+) but at least I can get a little bit of activity in here and there.
M had his dentist appointment yesterday, so had dropped me off at work, and he picked me up a little early. He was so happy with his new tooth. He was given a "zirconia" crown, which the dentist said is stronger than his natural teeth, so he needs to not bite down too hard on anything because it could actually damage his upper teeth. M said it felt like glass, which I can imagine feels pretty weird.
We went out to dinner for some cajun food. I ordered some fish since I figured that would be easy on my stomach, and so far, so good. (I know, old guidelines say fish is a big no for pregnant people, but new guidelines say most fish is okay.) M had a giant bowl of pasta, and he was so happy the entire meal, eating and drinking without pain for the first time in weeks.
By the time we got home, I was completely out of steam. I showered and collapsed on the couch, where every single cat tried to sit on my lap. I surrendered to my fatigue at 9 and went to bed, but slept poorly, waking up to pee twice, and then again because Tookie was pacing the hallway and warbling, which she tends to do when she can't find M (her favorite person), like when he leaves the house or goes to bed.
Feeling pretty beat today, so I'm just going to take it easy, not walk anywhere in the rain, and rest.
