m_of_disguiseM made a big pot of spaghetti sauce before he left on his trip, and I just cannot stand the smell of it. It makes me nauseous every time I get a whiff. (It doesn't smell bad, it smells like pasta sauce, but my stomach is not having it.) I meant to put the rest of it in some tupperware last night and put it in the freezer for when he gets back so he can still have it, but then I got sick after dinner, the spaghetti sauce stayed out overnight, and now it must go in the trash. ~sigh~
Cleaning the kitchen has been hell because of all the saucy dishes that need to be scrubbed. Ugh. M did most of them before he left, but the big sauce pot needed scrubbing after disposing of the sauce, and that is likely to do me in. Not excited to tackle that.
I'm going to try and do as much as I can in the morning tomorrow - dishes, ironing, vacuuming, and bathroom. I'm pretty useless by 2pm, so I need to really focus on doing what I can while I still feel okay. The house just feels like a total wreck, and it's getting to me. I picked up groceries after work yesterday, ate first, then felt so bad I didn't put the majority of the things away (perishables yes, but shelf-stable stuff? Nope) so now there are grocery bags full of stuff sitting by the front door waiting to be put away, a giant bag of clean laundry, there are still tons of sewing-related things that need to go to their homes, a pile of ironing that just keeps growing, and M's friend Alex just moved back to California and gave us all this stuff that we don't need like 100 red solo cups and a giant thing of bug spray and a pressure cooker we didn't need, and it's all just everywhere. AUGH. I'm feeling rather squashed.
