m_of_disguiseHad my second OB appointment over my lunch break today. I picked up M at home and then we went together. I thought it was supposed to be sonogram time, but it is still too early. We listened to the heartbeat (actual heartbeat at this point, not a machine artifact), which the doc said was strong, and he told me my previous blood work looked great. Apparently I've reached the point where I should start to feel "flutterings" of the fetus moving around, but the doc also said that they feel just like gas so I might not notice them. Next appointment will be the sonogram, and blood work to rule out birth defects.
After the appointment, M and I went out for burgers and milkshakes and we had a really nice lunch break together. I dropped him off at home, and now I'm back at work pretending to be productive.
Very glad for the short week. Today's outing completely exhausted me, and I'll be happy for the weekend to get here again.
