m_of_disguiseIt was pouring rain when I got out of work yesterday, to the point where we had some flash flood warnings. Rightly so, because the streets of downtown had all become rivers. Rather than trudge through them on the way back to the car and suffer soggy shoes for the rest of the evening, I peeled them off and went barefoot back to the car. Which afforded me some excellent opportunities to splash around in some top grade puddles.
M had to pull another all-nighter, so I picked up some tacos for dinner. This took me an inexplicably long time, so the rest of the evening was just spent trying to eat while tending the baby. I was rain-soaked and scraggly, and really should have taken a shower, but I didn't have the time. I look really stellar today, let me tell you.
No plans for this weekend. Maybe I'll do something productive, maybe I won't. M is supposed to cook this evening, and leftovers should take us through to Monday, so at least I won't have to cook this weekend!

We've had flood warnings too. * checks hydrologic website * Oooh, and we're at "action stage" right now. Might even get up to "minor flood" stage later in the week. Guess I should run my errands now, before it starts raining again.
