Had a dream last night that I was a witch working at some witch place which is the IRL Oxford University. Everyone was aware that the world was about to end by some sort of cataclysm (meteor strike, I think) and all the witches of the world were split on what to do. One camp wanted to try and avert the cataclysm and save the world by whatever means possible. The other camp wanted to hasten it and bring about the end of the world faster. I was in the very, very small Neutral camp. My power was apparently having visions of the future that were immutable, and I had seen that no matter what either camp did, the end of the world was happening right as predicted. Everyone was mad at me for being neutral, but I was happy to just enjoy the End of Days by sitting under trees, reading books, and eating good food. I had another vision that I was going to be in Paris when the world ended, so I was like, "Well, guess I should get to Paris, then." The dream ended with me walking through some sort of very large dance hall where they were having an End Times party, where everyone was dressed in their best 1890s clothes. There was a big earthquake and everyone knew that it was starting, so of course that is when I woke up.

I think costume research, rewatching Good Omens, and watching Greenland again collided in my head to produce this dream, and I am not mad about it. It was weird but enjoyable.

In more mundane news, tax return is in hand. Used half of it to pay off Kate's NICU bill. Blah. So fun being an adult and having to be sensible. *raspberry*

As predicted, this weekend will be a chore weekend. Tonight after work it's a grocery run and an oil change. I may try to attack Dish Mountain so I don't have to do it over the very busy weekend ahead.

M has asked me to do some repairs around the house (fixing the wall corners that Tibby has been using as a scratching post, the wee bastard), which means a trip to the hardware store. I had planned to change out the AC filter anyway, so it's not a new trip, but I hadn't planned on patching walls this weekend, and I'm not excited for it. I've told M that I'll need the Jeep on Saturday so I can pick up the bookshelf, so I'm pretty sure I'm losing the majority of Saturday to the Ikea trip and then furniture assembly/rearranging the Living Room. So Sunday will be the hardware store/AC filter/wall patch day. :-/
