The state jail inspectors told us that, finally, they are 100% absolutely coming on Monday. About damned time, they were supposed to be here in February. 

It was a day of minor medical mishaps yesterday at home.

M had a very bad day yesterday, popping a hemorrhoid he didn't know he had.

The baby had a bump on the head, her first real booboo, and was very unhappy about it. (She's fine.)

I stepped on a glass splinter in the kitchen while I was cooking, which was not fun. (We think now that this is probably what got Carolina when she had her hurt paw a few weeks back.)

So yeah, not a great night for any of us. 

Made a tortellini soup, which I didn't finish until nearly 9pm because of above mishaps. At least now I don't have to make dinner tonight.

I am ready for the weekend, this whole week has been a slog.

Jeezey creezey on all of the injuries, where did a glass splinter come from??

No idea, neither of us have broken any dishes in a long time. M found another one in the bedroom the next day. I suspect that since they were so small, we may have tracked them in from outside.

JFC on broken glass being endemic enough that it can be tracked inside!

Yeah, unfortunately the green space that's behind our building is a favored spot for people to go and drink together, so there tend to be broken bottles there sometimes. :-/
