One of M's out-of-state friends has decided to come in for a visit, and will be staying with us for a week at the end of the month. Very spur of the moment, they bought their plane ticket before I even heard about the visit. I'm not against this visit, but I would have liked to have been consulted beforehand. 

Since I already fixed the walls in anticipation of the maintenance visit that never happened, that means I have this weekend free to do whatever I want. I should iron some clothes for next week, and I'll probably do just enough to get my through to next weekend, but I really don't want to lose another weekend to stupid chores, especially since I'll probably be cleaning all next week before M's friend's visit. Being an adult is dumb. 

I'm going to try and actually get some work done on the Opera gown. I'm tired of looking at it lingering on the dress form. There's just so much hand-sewing that I have to do while sitting on the floor because the skirt is so huge, and I don't relish the idea of sitting on the floor for so long. But, the sooner I get it done, the sooner I can move on to other things with a clean slate.
