Very chill evening yesterday. When I got home, M told me that the baby had been a real handful all day, but she was pretty easy going for me, except for when she grabbed my cup of iced tea and spilled it everywhere. I made her a plate of food while I ate a bowl of soup. M gathered up the household laundry after dinner and headed out, and the baby fell asleep pretty quickly after that, which left me on my own for the rest of the evening, which was rather nice!
I managed to get the second ruffle attached before bed, but it was a struggle. I feel like all of my fatigue from the previous few days finally caught up to me, and it was hard to keep focused for very long. But, the ruffle is attached, and I was in bed before 11, so it was a win in the end.
Taking a late lunch today and heading home to watch the baby while M has a meeting. I didn't end up bringing supplies for the mockup with me to work, since I wouldn't have that time available to work on it, so if it doesn't get done tomorrow, then it's going to be a weekend project. But, M said that he's going to take the baby on an outing on Sunday to see friends, which means I'll have time to myself to really plow through as much sewing as I can manage.
Found a poly taffeta in the color I want for super cheap on a random website, so I ordered 20 yards. That should be plenty to get me through the ball and day dresses for Navasota. I think that's the last fabric on the list that I needed, now it's just trimmings and such. I'm really eager to get started on those dresses, I'm feeling very excited for them.
The pattern for the Kent State dress has arrived, so I think that wraps up all the supplies I need to finish Dickens stuff.
As it is Halloween, we have a final giant green inflatable spider count of 50!
