I think I've finally figured out what to do for the Monet outing in September! A page I follow on Facebook posted this beautiful skirt the other day.
I had a sudden brainwave when I saw it - embroidered skirt with Art Nouveau water lily designs. I was going to keep it ivory with touches of aqua, but then I came across this beautiful bodice, and now it's totally going to be an aqua outfit with touches of ivory and pink.
I'm glad I was finally struck with inspiration, because there's less than two months to go before the event, and I need to get started ASAP. I'm going to try and drape the skirt mockup this week and get the embroidery sketched out, then on Saturday the hunt for fabric begins! Now I just need to figure out what hat to make with it.
