Didn't work on shoes or gown lining last night, but I did manage to get the first pocket flap for M's new waistcoat embroidered.



I don't know why, but the satin is bunching ever so slightly between the bottom border and the loopy garland parts. It's not extreme, so hopefully a bit of ironing will help it lay flat.

The trim for the gown arrived while I was at work yesterday, and while it's lovely, it's totally the wrong color of blue. ~sigh~ It's so hard to match colors online. I ordered a couple of other options, so we'll see what they look like when they come in. If they don't work, I may have to resort to using a natural or light silver color instead. I really want to have that pop of blue, though, so fingers crossed!

Maybe you could dye the trim to match if the other options don't pan out? The pocket flap looks beautiful!

Nah, the color is too bright, I'd have to color remove and then re-dye it, which I don't know if that would even work since it's an elastic-y sort of trim. :-/ I'm going to hang onto it for another project, though, because it is really pretty, so I'll get use out of it eventually!
